Privacy Policy
This privacy statement contains numerous general and technical details about the
measures that we take in order to ensure maximum respect for the privacy of our
visitors. Our ultimate aim is to take the needs and expectations of our customers
as the basis for everything we do - including protecting their privacy. This commitment
includes our firm respect for the terms established in the current Spanish Data
Protection Act 15/1999, of the 13th December.
Browsing: This Web Site is not set up to gather personal information
of any kind through the computer used as the user browses the site. This implies
that, unless Users voluntarily and explicitly provide us with personal information,
we will never know their name, e-mail address or any other information that might
identify them.
Cookies: Our Web Site uses Cookies in certain technological process.
Cookies are chains of encrypted text that the Web Site stores in the User’s computer.
Our Web Site requires the use of cookies during certain processes, such as:
- recognising visitors when they return to our Web Site.
- storing and loading the User’s language preference whenever they return to our Web
Site.
- measuring the use made by the User of our Web Site.
The kinds of cookies used in our Web Site are known as persistent cookers, since
they remain in the User’s computer hard drive until they are deliberately eliminated
or deleted. The Hotel Eurotennis does not use cookies to obtain information about
the User’s visits to other web sites or any other information apart from that concerning
the User’s specific interaction with the Hotel Eurotennis Web Site. Cookies do not
corrupt or damage the computer or the archives or programmes installed on it.
If the User does not wish to receive these cookies, they can set up their browser
to reject them (see the specific instructions for your browser), although doing
so might affect your capacity to carry out certain transactions on the Web Site
as well as the general browsing experience.
Information to carry out the transactions required by the User:
When we require you to provide information, we will always ask for that information
to be provided expressly and voluntarily. For example, if you wish to make a booking
at our hotel, we will ask you to provide specific information such as your name,
address, telephone number, e-mail address, type of credit card, card number and
expiry date, etc, in order to process the reservation. We will use your e-mail address
to send you confirmation and, if necessary, might use the other information provided
in order to contact you if we needed your help to process the booking.
Security of data transmission and storage: When the Web Site asks
the User to provide personal information in order to process the reservation, including
their name, address, details of their credit card etc, the information is sent down
a secure line protected by a 128 bit Secured Sockets Layer (SSL), provided the User
has a browser that is compatible with this system, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer
or Netscape Navigator. This guarantees that the information is securely encrypted
as it is sent over the Internet. This secure environment is activated before any
information is transmitted from the User’s computer. The User will know that they
are operating in a secure environment by the locked padlock icon at the bottom left
or right hand side of the browser window. Furthermore, when a secure server is accessed,
the address shown in the browser address bar changes from "http" to "https". After
the information has reached the Hotel Eurotennis servers, it is stored on a secure
server that is protected by a firewall, designed to block access to anyone outside
our company.
In accordance with the current Spanish Data Protection Act 15/1999, of the 13th
December, (henceforth, DPA) the Hotel Eurotennis informs you that, when you fill
in the new customer registration form on our Web Site, the User’s personal information
that is stored on the Hotel Eurotennis servers includes your name and full postal
address, as well as your e-mail address, personal access password to restricted
areas, Tax ID Number (CIF or NIF), telephone number and preferred browsing language.
The personal password is stored as encrypted information, offering our customers
a superior level of security.
Under no circumstances will the Hotel Eurotennis store your credit card details
or other payment details provided by you through this Web Site in its own data file
or any data file belonging to third parties.
All the Personal Data gathered by Hotel Eurotennis are digitally treated and incorporated
into files called “CUSTOMER REGISTER FOR RESERVATIONS” and “RESERVATIONS ARCHIVE”,
both of which are duly registered with the Data Protection Agency, and are the property
of TURIVA 78, S.A.
E-mail: The Hotel Eurotennis has a policy of only sending e-mail
communications that will be of use to the User and which the User has asked to receive.
When the User makes a booking through the Web Site and provides an e-mail address,
under no circumstances will the Hotel Eurotennis use that e-mail address to send
out information about special offers and promotions. The only e-mail communication
we will send you will be to confirm the registration of your information in the
Hotel Eurotennis private database, and the confirmation of your booking once the
guarantee payment process has been completed. Additional communications might include
reminders of your password or copies of your booking applications, sent on request
only. In these latter cases, the communications correspond to processes required
and initiated by the User. Outside of these four cases, the Hotel Eurotennis will
not send the User any other additional information not expressly required by them.
Use of information: The personal information provided by the User
when using the Web Site to make a booking is made available to the requested hotel
in order to enable said hotel to process the User’s request. If the User cancels
the booking, the information stored previously remains in our records with the sole
purpose of having a booking request archive, and is not accessed again. Once the
User checks out of the Hotel Eurotennis, the information stored may be used for
direct marketing actions, notwithstanding the stipulations indicated in the previous
paragraph, by Hotel Eurotennis.
Passing information onto third parties: The Hotel Eurotennis will
not sell or pass on the personal information gathered on its Web Site to companies
that do not belong to the Hotel Eurotennis for their use without the User’s express
permission, offering you the opportunity to exercise your right to cancel or object.
Links to other sites: In the event that the User chooses to leave
this Web Site through links to other web sites that do not belong to the Hotel Eurotennis,
the latter cannot be held responsible for the privacy policies of said web sites
or the cookies that they might store on the User’s computer.
Legal matters: This is a Spanish web site and as such is subject
to Spanish Law. The Hotel Eurotennis may make the personal information provided
by the User available without his or her consent when the information is required
by law, acting in good faith as long as said action is necessary in order to investigate
or protect guests, visitors or associates of the Hotel Eurotennis or its property
(including this Web Site).
Changes in the Privacy Policy of this Web Site: In the future,
the Hotel Eurotennis may make changes to the Privacy Policy of this Web Site. Any
changes will be published in this section, in order to keep the User informed about
which information is gathered on this Web Site, how it is processed and used, and
how it can be made available to third parties.
